In these times of political madness and suffering around the world, Artist Schoony, who used to work as a film and TV special effects artist before turning to fine art, highlights these issues with his current exhibition: ‘Boy Soldiers’ Group show taking place at two venues: Blackall Studios and Graffik London Gallery. The exhibition features a whole heap of creative talent including Insa, Goldie, D*Face, Inkie plus more. Each artist received a blank fibreglass of the boy soldier to work on to, which Schoony cast himself, good concept!

Expect high impact, high emotion and thought provoking art…Definitely something not to be missed!

Came across Slinkachu, a London-based artist who creates/hand paints miniature models of people in certain scenarios and places them in random spots, takes a pic, then simply leaves them there. Have to say I like the concept, and some of the images are straight jokes! The one above is a particular favourite. For more cool bits, check out his SITE

Reached Kicks N Canvas last night, a sneaker arts exhibit put together by the guys at Soleheaven. 21 artists took part including INSA, Disco Teck, Trans1, Toaster and Goldie. Each artist was given a shoe and a canvas to do their thing on, and everything will be up for sale until the April 18th.
Was good to see sneakers represented on another level other than just footwear, and hope the guys at Soleheaven continue along these lines pushing sneaker culture through these kind of events and allowing creative individuals to showcase their work with the same passion for kicks as one another.

Architecture+Technical Design+Nike = Tinker Hatfield…I am a fan. I came across this clip and thought wow! This guy switched up the basic running shoe template and gave it something totally new and original. The idea to have the air bubble visible is mos def thinking out the box and has become one of Nike’s trademarks to date. The fact that he tried something different and went against the grain is over inspiring as that’s what makes you stand out from the crowd and get recognised for your sheer brilliance. The creative thought process is a beautiful thing, and Tinker outlines everything from his inspiration to the finished masterpiece…enjoy!
